Hi! I’m Shoumik 👋

I build ML systems that scale from research to production. Currently a Machine Learning Engineer at Andium, working at the intersection of computer vision, ML platforms, and LLM applications.

My pronouns are he/him/él.

Beyond the Code 🌹

I’m passionate about using technology to create a positive social impact. Whether it’s through “data for good” initiatives, contributing to open-source projects, or mentoring others in the tech community, I’m always looking for ways to ensure our technical progress actually makes a difference in people’s lives.

I’m a proud member of NYC-DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). I believe that technology should serve working people, not just shareholders — and that the immense wealth generated by our labor and innovation should be shared broadly, not concentrated at the top. Socialism, to me, means building a world where everyone has access to healthcare, housing, education, and dignity as basic rights. If that resonates with you, I’d encourage you to join DSA and get involved in the fight for a more just and equitable society.

When I’m not at the keyboard, I’m likely in Queens, NYC with my wife and our dog, Neira, exploring local restaurants or tinkering with a Raspberry Pi.
